SO WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
St Combs Community Church offers a Gap Year programme for young people aged 16-25 for three months to one year, we have been running the Gap year programme for the last three years. If you are in this age bracket and ready for one of the most exciting and challenging years of your life this is for you!
Your life will be changed and so will the lives of community around you.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Throughout the year you will be involved in a number of different ministries in a local church.
You'll get to grips with youth work; children's work; friendship evangelism in the community and much more. All you need to do is commit 30 hours each week volunteering in the church.
Volunteers are also expected to find their own accommodation for the year though the current staff will help you in this.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
In the year you will be given discipleship training, you will be equipped for ministry and you will be given the opportunity to minister effectively within a local church that has been planted for three years.
Our partnership with Project Scotland allows us to offer you training and £55 per week to go towards living costs.
WHY DO IT?
This is an opportunity to do something completely different with your life. It will give you the chance to make new friends, to share new experiences, to get closer to GOD and change the lives of those you are ministering to.
It's an opportunity to positively influence a wide group of people in a small rural community; an opportunity to change lives!
OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU:
We will provide you with a programme that will further you as an individual and allow you to minister to people in the community. We also aim to take you on an overseas mission trip during the course of the year.
