Our Value
We seek to demonstrate Jesus' love in unconditional and non-manipulative ways by relating to one another in a way that is real and not superficial. We encourage participation in a local church, where we set aside times in our services (break out time) where open honest fellowship* is lovingly encourageing, confronting and promoting community in the church.
Fellowship is a unity brought about by the Holy Spirit; it cements us to the Lord Jesus and to each other.
*Fellowship (koinonia): Sharing, unity, close association, partnership, participation, a society, a communion, a fellowship, contributory help and a brotherhood.
When do we do it?
How do we do it?
Break Out time -
An observation we made early on about church is that very often people don't have the time to fellowship. For numourous reasons, they arrive late to church and leave early.
One method we have adopted to combat this and grow the church in relationship happens during the morning service. After the worship time is finished we have a short, 10min "Break-out" time before the teaching starts. This gives people a chance to have coffee and a chat right in the middle of the service. We can speak to visitors and talk with those who come to church but may always have to run off.
This has proven to be a great success in the life of the church. We have a high value for relationship and community and this is just one of the methods we have seen to help grow the church.
"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer."
Acts 2:42
